Furniture, Snacks, Amenities, and Welcome Gifts for Pets in Pet-Only Rooms
Free Rental of Pet Dry Rooms, Dog Strollers & Cages, and Walking Supplies
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Grand Josun Busan announced on the 28th that it will start operating a 'pet-friendly hotel' reflecting customer demands for staycations with pets as the number of pet families (Pet+Family) increases.
Grand Josun Busan has prepared pet-exclusive rooms to accommodate guests with dogs and launched the 'Meongcance' package as a year-round themed package under the theme of 'a joyful journey with your beloved dog.' When using the Meongcance package, guests can use pet-exclusive rooms, dog beds, mats, and slide stairs. Pet-exclusive dining bowls, snacks such as chews, waste pads, waste bags, towels, shampoos, and other dedicated amenities are also provided.
To commemorate the launch, until the end of February, a set of five toys from the pet lifestyle brand 'Bite Me' will be provided as a welcome gift. The toys are made from agricultural products including bok choy, corn, roasted chestnuts, mushrooms, and red onions.
At the Landing Library, guests can apply in advance to use the pet drying room. The lobby concierge desk is equipped with items necessary for walking dogs, such as pet strollers, cage bags, waste bags, harnesses, and leashes. These can be used free of charge during the stay.
The Meongcance package price ranges from 335,000 to 435,000 KRW (excluding 10% tax) depending on the room type and usage period. The package is based on one dog under 10 kg, and an additional 100,000 KRW (excluding VAT) will be charged for each additional dog.
When moving within the hotel, dogs must use a cage or a dedicated stroller, and entry is restricted for the five designated dangerous dog breeds under domestic animal protection law and other breeds classified or recognized as dangerous dogs.
Won Young-wook, General Manager of Grand Josun Busan, said, "As the number of customers who want to create travel memories with their pets increases, we have launched a room package for pet families," adding, "We plan to additionally introduce in-room dining menus for dogs in the future."
