Quality Control of Livestock Processed Products and Hanwoo Verification Test [Provided by Gangwon-do Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory]
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The Gangwon-do Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory is strengthening safety inspections on livestock product processing companies within the province to produce and supply safe and hygienic livestock food products.
The Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory stated on the 28th, "We will prevent livestock product safety accidents and the distribution of fraudulent livestock products to supply livestock products that consumers can trust and purchase."
This year, the Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory plans to conduct self-quality consignment inspections on 210 livestock product processing companies in Gangwon-do, and induce the production of safe and hygienic livestock products through continuous follow-up management of non-compliant companies.
Additionally, the laboratory will focus on conducting tests to distinguish between 'Hanwoo' and 'non-Hanwoo' beef distributed in 250 school meal beef supplies and 50 retail livestock product outlets within the province, aiming to establish a fair distribution order.
Furthermore, through testing 71 types of residual substances in raw milk samples collected from farms, vehicles, and milk tanks of 9 milk collection and dairy processing companies, they plan to stabilize the dairy industry base and supply safe food products.
Ahn Jae-wan, director of the Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory, said, "To produce and distribute safe and healthy livestock food products, we plan to strengthen the public-private cooperation system with related organizations and producer groups to prevent fraudulent livestock products."
