[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 27th that it will publicly recruit institutions to carry out customer center revitalization support projects, including customer center attraction activities, counselor workforce training, and healing, from the 28th of this month to the 10th of next month to create quality jobs for women in the region.
Eligibility requirements are educational institutions or non-profit organizations/corporations located in Gwangju as of the announcement date, possessing necessary office space and equipment for project execution, and securing at least three professionals related to customer center industry development.
The main projects to be carried out include ▲ customer center new establishment and expansion attraction activities ▲ support for customer center operation efficiency and networking ▲ promotion of customer center location conditions ▲ counselor workforce training and itinerant briefings ▲ operation of counselor emotional labor healing and recovery programs.

Park Jeong-hwan, Director of the City’s Job Economy Office, said, “The customer center revitalization support project is promoted annually to create jobs for women in the region and revitalize the local economy,” adding, “We hope many capable institutions and organizations will participate in the competition to enhance the project’s outcomes.”
Meanwhile, as of the end of last December, it was reported that about 7,100 counselors are working at 69 customer centers in various fields such as finance and telecommunications within the jurisdiction.
