[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Ybrain, an affiliate of Neofect, announced on the 27th that it has newly added a heart rate monitor (HR) measurement function to the brainwave measuring device ‘Mind Scan (MINDD SCAN)’. They plan to intensify sales mainly targeting psychiatric clinics in collaboration with Hwanin Pharmaceutical, which is conducting domestic sales together.
Mind Scan is a medical device that detects electrophysiological activity changes in the brain. It can be used to assist in diagnosing various brain diseases such as brain tumors, strokes, epilepsy, dementia, as well as various mental disorders including personality, mood, and behavioral disorders.
By attaching a heart rate monitor measurement cable to Mind Scan, heart rate measurement and analysis become possible with just a software update. Through analysis of average heart rate over a certain period, it quantitatively evaluates the activation and balance of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Based on standard data according to age, it can accurately and objectively measure changes in the autonomic nervous system.
With this newly added function, Mind Scan can measure both brainwaves and heart rate with a single device, increasing its usability. Cloud-based integrated management of test results enables broad use in evaluating an individual’s psychological and emotional state caused by stress and obtaining related disease information.
A Ybrain official stated, “The newly released Mind Scan is an integrated solution specialized for psychiatric clinics that measures brainwaves and heart rate monitors, offering superior price competitiveness and convenience compared to competitors,” and added, “We will launch full-scale sales activities targeting domestic hospitals and clinics, including psychiatric clinics and Hwanin Pharmaceutical, with whom we signed a joint business contract last year.”
