Miryang-si, Recruitment of Prospective Tenants for Permanent Rental Housing

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Miryang City, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting 100 units of 26㎡ permanent rental housing for first and second priority preliminary tenants.

According to the city on the 27th, the applicants must be non-homeowners registered in Miryang City, with first priority given to basic livelihood security recipients, single-parent families, persons with disabilities with an average monthly income below 70%, and national merit recipients.

Low-income groups meeting the income and property criteria for permanent rental housing are classified as second priority.

Applications can be submitted for five days starting February 1st through the administrative welfare centers in the applicant's district, town, or neighborhood.

Detailed eligibility requirements and required documents can be found on the Korea Land and Housing Corporation and Miryang City Hall websites.

If selected as a preliminary tenant, the order will be determined based on a scoring system considering residence period, applicant's age, and number of household members.

They will be placed after already recruited preliminary tenants and can move in sequentially when vacancies occur.

Lee Sang-bong, head of the Architecture Department, said, “Permanent rental housing will be a great help to low-income groups with heavy housing cost burdens as it allows long-term residence at affordable costs.”
