The ponytail tied at the back of the headband worn by Officer Kwon Oh-hyun, who works in the Road Department of Gimhae City Hall, Gyeongnam, prompts everyone who sees it to ask, "Is it okay for a public official to look like this?"

The reason Officer Kwon is growing his hair is to participate in the "Eomona (Hair Sharing for Young Cancer Patients)" campaign, which donates wigs to pediatric cancer patients who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy.

Wigs provide significant emotional support to young children who struggle with the stares of those around them.

However, because the price can reach hundreds of thousands of won, it is not easy to purchase wigs outright, so the campaign was started to produce wigs and provide them free of charge.

You can donate by growing your hair like Officer Kwon or by collecting naturally shed hair and sending it to the Eomona campaign headquarters.

However, the hair length must be at least 25 cm.

Officer Kwon said, "There was opposition around me. I also heard people say I should just donate money instead," adding, "Anyone can support with money, but not everyone can make such a meaningful donation like this."
