Final Report Meeting Held, Population Growth Plans Presented in 3 Areas

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 27th that it held the final report meeting for the ‘Hamyang-gun Customized Population Increase Plan Research Service’ with 30 officials including heads of departments and sections from the county office’s main conference room.

At the meeting, three core tasks for increasing Hamyang-gun’s population were presented: ▲ sustainable job creation ▲ creating a residential environment favorable for raising children ▲ establishing the Aitopia education governance, along with corresponding tasks and policies.

The county plans to actively address the population decline issue by reflecting the policies presented at the meeting into the population increase measures after review by the relevant departments.

Governor Seo said, “The situation of low birthrate, aging population, and outflow of young people is serious,” and added, “We will review the core tasks derived from this research service and promote various policies suitable for the county to do our best to increase the population.”
