[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education announced on the 26th that it has identified the whereabouts of all but 2 of the 21 students who did not attend the preliminary registration conducted in 524 elementary school classrooms.

Among the 21 students who did not attend, 19 have gone abroad, and the police are currently investigating the exact whereabouts of the remaining 2.

This year, the number of children eligible for school enrollment in Gyeongnam increased by 27 from the previous year to 30,978.

The number of children who did not attend the preliminary registration was 21, which is 3 fewer than last year.

The Office plans to encourage enrollment of children who have not yet enrolled through individual contact, home visits, and school visit requests until the March admission date.

Additionally, they plan to prepare individual management cards for unenrolled children to check their whereabouts and safety at least once a month and to manage them thoroughly through a dedicated education office organization.
