[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The government announced that it discussed measures to expand housing supply at the Green Room meeting of the Ministerial Meeting.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance stated on the 26th that Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, held the Green Room meeting at the Government Seoul Office.

Attendees included the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Deputy Mayor of Seoul, and the Chief Presidential Secretary for Economic Affairs.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance reported that the attendees agreed to swiftly supply sufficient high-quality housing targeting metropolitan areas such as Seoul. They also expressed their intention to promptly prepare specific measures for this purpose.

Meanwhile, the government plans to create and announce an 'Urban Housing Supply Plan' in early February.
