[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Singer Lee Ha-neul drew a line on the possibility of reconciliation with his ex-wife Park Yoo-sun.
On the afternoon of the 25th, TV Chosun's "We Got Divorced" aired a story about Lee Ha-neul and Park Yoo-sun.
In the broadcast, the two shared a meal and talked together.
During the conversation, Lee Ha-neul said, "This is serious. Many of the lyrics I'm working on for my album are about breakups, but they don't seem to be about good breakups."
In response to Park Yoo-sun's question, "Did you write them when you were holding them back?" Lee Ha-neul said, "These lyrics were written when I was going through a really tough time (due to the divorce), so the content is a bit harsh."
The unreleased song "Reset" by Lee Ha-neul, revealed that day, seemed to reflect his feelings hurt after the divorce. The lyrics included phrases like "We were a wrong meeting" and "Mismatch." Lee Ha-neul explained to Park Yoo-sun, "It's somewhat exaggerated."
Park Yoo-sun expressed, "Now that we're strangers, I can feel a bit hurt. I think you've really changed a lot since the divorce. But it seems like you've changed because of how we've been living apart. It feels like the distance has changed you."
Lee Ha-neul confessed, "I don't know. It's something that hasn't happened yet, so I don't know. Even in the past, there were eight good things, but one or two were so hard that they became too big, and that's why we broke up. We broke up like that. There were far more good things than bad. But the bad things were too big."
He continued, "If we were to be together again, the problems we held onto in the past, the personalities we couldn't fix (would probably remain the same). I'm too old now. Realistically, there's an age gap. Oppa is too old now." Currently, Lee Ha-neul is 51 years old, and Park Yoo-sun is 34.
In response to Park Yoo-sun's remark questioning what the age difference matters, Lee Ha-neul said, "Now we're just good older brother and younger sister." It is presumed that Lee Ha-neul drew a line on the possibility of their reconciliation.
