Jeonnam Fire Headquarters New Building 119 Situation Room Relocation Completed in 'Flawless Condition'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters has successfully completed the relocation of the Jangheung New Office 119 Integrated Situation Room.

According to Jeonnam Fire (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) on the 25th, in accordance with the plan for relocating the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters to Jangheung, a virtual scenario was set up to prepare for communication network failures, and after about a month of testing and verification starting from December last year, the final switch was made on the 22nd without any defects.

The relocation of the 119 Integrated Situation Room manages the emergency rescue reporting system directly related to the safety of residents through 119 call reception, requiring a communication network switch without a single second of interruption.

With this 119 Integrated Situation Room transition, Jeonnam Fire now has a safer communication environment, enabling faster information acquisition and situation dissemination during various disaster incidents.

Fire Chief Ma Jaeyoon said, “With the recent rapid development of information and communication, there have been many changes in the 119 dispatch system,” adding, “With this relocation of the 119 Integrated Situation Room, we can provide more detailed fire services to the residents.”

Meanwhile, the 119 Integrated Situation Room, established on the 20th floor of the Jeonnam Provincial Office in 2007, has completed its role as a disaster control tower protecting the lives and property of residents for 14 years.
