"Let's Create Education Together" ... Gyeongnam Office of Education Holds Work Discussion Meeting

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education held group meetings and major work discussion sessions in sequence from the Future Education Bureau, School Policy Bureau, to the Administration Bureau at the headquarters from the 25th to the 26th.

The group meetings are activities aimed at sharing Gyeongnam education policies and establishing a cooperative system among departments for current projects to enhance policy efficiency.

This time, considering the COVID-19 situation, the meetings were conducted both online and offline by bureau.

Using the 'iTalkTalk' online platform, interactive communication was conducted through video conferences.

The Future Education Bureau presented on the establishment of the Gyeongnam-type platform 'iTalkTalk', dissemination of the school democracy index, response to the climate crisis and strengthening ecological education, school meals, and the construction of school wireless networks.

The School Policy Bureau presented on Happy Schools, after-kindergarten programs, support for basic academic skills improvement, activation of professional learning communities, and the foundation for the high school credit system.

The Administration Bureau covered topics such as the 'Making a Blue Planet' eco-friendly project promotion, pre-screening system for non-regular employment recruitment, establishment of career education centers, construction of an educational welfare safety net, green smart future schools, and building future-type school models through school space innovation.

Park Jong-hoon, Superintendent of Education of Gyeongsangnam-do, said, "We have designated this year as the 'Year of Great Transformation in Gyeongnam Education,'" adding, "Let us expand the group meetings started at the headquarters to the support offices and create education together."
