According to Gwangju City on the 25th, as of 2 p.m. that day, 5 people tested positive and were classified as Gwangju cases 1512 to 1516.
Among them, 2 people (Gwangju 1513 and 1514) are secondary infection cases stemming from the TCS Ace International School, where 8 confirmed cases were reported the previous day.
Gwangju 1513 and 1514 were both identified as daycare teachers near the religious education facility TCS Ace International School and members of Bitnaeri Church, which is located in the same building as the international school.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases related to TCS Ace International School has increased to 25 as of the 25th.
One person (Gwangju 1512) also tested positive during proactive testing at Hyojeong Nursing Hospital, bringing the cumulative total to 158.
Additionally, one confirmed case related to Gwangju 1449 (Gwangju 1515) and one confirmed case with an under-investigation infection route (Gwangju 1516) were added.
Currently, Bitnaeri Church is temporarily closed, and on-site investigations by quarantine authorities are underway.
On the previous day, a full inspection was conducted on 331 people including staff, students, and family members of the TCS Ace International School located in the church building, as well as nearby daycare centers and kindergartens, resulting in a cumulative total of 25 positive cases.
