On the 23rd, a student from Seoul Tourism High School is experiencing transportation services with a Jin Air employee at Incheon Airport.
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Jin Air recently announced on the 25th that it invited students from Seoul Tourism High School to experience an international sightseeing flight.
On this day, 11 participants including students from Seoul Tourism High School, a specialized tourism high school, and their supervising teachers took part. The students experienced ground services from check-in to boarding the aircraft, as well as the in-flight duties of cabin crew. There was also a session where they read in-flight announcements and received coaching.
Starting with this sightseeing flight experience, Jin Air plans to introduce aviation travel-based programs that can be enjoyed with various social groups such as small business owners and vulnerable groups in air travel.
The international sightseeing flight was conducted in compliance with social distancing and thorough in-flight quarantine guidelines. Jin Air is doing its best to ensure safe flights by implementing seat distancing assignments, sequential boarding and disembarking by zones, and temperature checks.
Previously, Jin Air has operated community-linked youth career experience programs, starting with inviting vulnerable children from Busan in 2017 for job experience. This year, to provide service experience opportunities to students aspiring to careers in aviation tourism?whose practical opportunities have decreased due to COVID-19?and to encourage their discouraged spirits, the participation target was expanded.
Jin Air stated, “Although everyone is going through difficult times, we will continue activities that can help society by diversifying the use of the company’s capabilities.”
