[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Spoqa, a small business store solution company, announced on the 25th that the cumulative transaction amount of its ingredient cost management app 'Dodo Cart' has surpassed 30 billion KRW over the past five months.

As of the end of December last year, Dodo Cart's cumulative transaction amount reached 30 billion KRW. This achievement was made within five months of the official service launch, and Spoqa added that the transaction amount for December alone exceeded 6.3 billion KRW.

According to Spoqa, there are currently about 9,000 foodservice industry stakeholders using Dodo Cart. The sizes of registered stores vary widely, ranging from small alley restaurants to large dining establishments, with various foodservice workers utilizing the service. The number of ingredient suppliers registered on Dodo Cart is about 14,000, and the number of items reached approximately 161,600 as of the end of December last year.

When a restaurant registers an ingredient statement on Dodo Cart, it can compare and analyze monthly reports on changes in suppliers and major items. Spoqa explains that restaurants that have managed ingredient costs, which account for an average of 40% of store operating expenses, in a rough and ready manner can escape from blind operation through report analysis.

Spoqa plans to accelerate the advancement of the ingredient market based on its proprietary technology and data competitiveness. In December, through a business agreement with the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), it plans to provide optimal distribution information services using aT's 'Agricultural Products Distribution Information System (KAMIS)' data.

Choi Jaeseung, CEO of Spoqa, said, “We consider this achievement as reflecting an era where IT platform utilization is essential not only for online but also offline stores,” and added, “This year, we will further enhance Dodo Cart and Dodo Point services to alleviate small business owners' concerns about sales.”
