Guro-gu Launches 'Seolnal Donation Sharing Project' to Provide Support Supplies for Vulnerable Groups

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is launching the 'Seol Holiday Donation Sharing Project.'

On the 25th, Guro-gu announced, "We are carrying out the 'Seol Holiday Donation Sharing Project,' which prepares support items for vulnerable groups through the participation of residents from all walks of life."

The Seol Holiday Donation Sharing Project is a program that distributes food and daily necessities stored in each household to neighbors in need. When residents donate items, they are delivered to those in need through the Guro-gu Food Bank Market (50-gil 10, Gurodong-ro).

Donatable items include food such as rice, ramen, canned goods, and daily necessities such as soap, detergent, and tissue paper. Items with less than one month until expiration, fresh products, dairy products, and other items that may cause food poisoning are excluded.

Those who wish to participate can visit the nearest community service center or the Guro-gu Food Bank Market by February 9.

A Guro-gu official stated, "The items received through this project will be delivered to vulnerable neighbors in the area, such as elderly living alone, people with disabilities, and multicultural families," and added, "We ask for the active participation of residents so that everyone can have a happy Seol holiday."

Meanwhile, to improve convenience for vulnerable residents, Guro-gu remodeled the Guro-gu Food Bank Market and reopened it on the 18th of this month.
