Dongdaemun-gu Supports 908 Pregnant Women with Eco-Friendly Agricultural Produce Packages

Applications Open from the 25th for Annual Eco-Friendly Agricultural Produce Packages Worth 410,000 KRW

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) will provide 908 pregnant women with eco-friendly agricultural product packages worth 410,000 KRW annually (including a personal contribution of 82,000 KRW).

The eco-friendly agricultural product package support project was established to support farmers struggling due to COVID-19 and to provide healthy food to pregnant women.

The support targets mothers who gave birth after January 1, 2020, and currently pregnant women, excluding those receiving support from the Nutrition Plus Project.

Applications can be made from 10 a.m. on the 25th through the Ecoimall website, an online shopping mall for eco-friendly agricultural products for pregnant women. For those who have difficulty applying online, in-person applications are accepted at the Economic Promotion Division on the 6th floor of Dongdaemun-gu Office.

When applying in person, applicants must bring the application form, resident registration certificate, and pregnancy or childbirth verification documents.

The eco-friendly agricultural product packages can be purchased up to 100,000 KRW per session, four times a month (16 times a year), and are composed considering the health of pregnant women and newborns, including organic fruits and livestock products, pesticide-free agricultural products, and organic processed foods.

When ordering, 80% of the amount is supported, and the remaining 20% is paid by the applicant, after which fresh agricultural product packages are delivered to the address.
