[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] LG HelloVision's local channels have launched a campaign to support small business owners driving the neighborhood economy.
On the 25th, LG HelloVision announced the launch of the year-round campaign "Dongnegage Hamkkegage" (Neighborhood Store, Together Store), which introduces small business shops that will innovate the neighborhood economy through cable TV broadcasting.
The core of this campaign is to introduce more than 1,000 small business shops annually, mainly through cable TV local channels. Two-minute broadcast videos and 30-second advertisement videos will be produced and aired through local channels and social networking services (SNS).
LG HelloVision regards small business owners in neighborhood commercial districts as key players leading balanced regional development and prepared this campaign accordingly. Small business owners have suffered significant economic losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic lasting over a year, making support urgent. According to the "Small Business Economic Trend Status" announced by the Small Enterprise and Market Service, both the small business economic sentiment index and the traditional market economic sentiment index recorded their lowest levels in nine months as of last December.

Eunjung Park, Executive Director of Media Business at LG HelloVision, explained, "Ultimately, it is the neighborhood store owners in the local commercial districts who drive the regional economy," adding, "We prepared this campaign to support them and help each neighborhood commercial district establish itself as a cultural space with its own unique character."
LG HelloVision and the Small Enterprise and Market Service select featured businesses based on four themes. This year's themes are traditional markets, startups, re-entrepreneurship, and century-old stores. LG HelloVision plans to continuously diversify the "Dongnegage Hamkkegage" campaign to help increase sales. They are exploring ways to expand non-face-to-face sales channels and are also considering support projects linked to social contribution activities.
