[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Former U.S. President Donald Trump spoke to the media for the first time since leaving office.

According to Fox News and The Washington Examiner, on the 22nd (local time), Trump responded to a question about his future plans while having dinner at the Trump International Golf Club near the Mar-a-Lago resort, saying, "I will do something, but not yet."

Foreign media reported that Trump’s future moves remain shrouded in mystery. Some speculate that Trump may form a new party and run again in the 2024 presidential election.

Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House for the Democratic Party, plans to send the impeachment articles against Trump to the Senate on the 25th. For the impeachment to pass in the Senate, a two-thirds majority is required.

The House approved the impeachment articles against Trump on the 13th, accusing him of inciting insurrection by encouraging the Capitol riot that occurred on the 6th, with 232 votes in favor and 197 against.
