LG Energy Solution Headquarters 63rd Floor Employee-Only Space 'Popular'

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The 63rd-floor lounge at Yeouido Park One, where LG Energy Solution's headquarters is located, is gaining popularity among employees and becoming a hot topic in the industry.

LG Energy Solution, which was launched in December last year, moved its headquarters to Yeouido Park One Tower 1, the tallest standalone office building in Korea at 318 meters, in January this year. The entire top floor, the 63rd floor, was designated exclusively as a space for employees.

Known as the 'Communication Lounge,' this area spans 1,636㎡ (495 pyeong) and can accommodate about 170 people. It is unusual to allocate the entire top floor of a building solely for employees, and the space is designed not only for comfortable relaxation in a modern caf? atmosphere but also as a venue and various smart working spaces, attracting continuous visits from employees.

The 63rd-floor 'Exclusive Communication Lounge' consists of a caf?, stage, and smart working spaces, arranged with stylish furniture and modern interior design to provide employees with a comfortable atmosphere.

The stage area is equipped with a beam projector and a simple stage facility, allowing members to hold town hall meetings and lectures at any time. Recently, CEO Kim Jong-hyun used this stage space to conduct an internal online town hall event communicating with new employees via a video conferencing system.

The smart working spaces are designed to allow members to work comfortably in various ways according to their work needs, including ▲a dedicated space for business travelers ▲collaboration spaces ▲multipurpose spaces.

The dedicated space for business travelers was prepared considering that about 90% of the business is overseas and that overseas employees are about twice as many as domestic ones, so that business travelers can work without inconvenience when they visit the headquarters.

The 'Ultra-Focus Seats' are designed to enhance work concentration by blocking three sides with partitions. Employees working at the headquarters can use these seats when they need to complete tasks quickly or attend online training sessions. These seats operate under a 'free seating system,' allowing members to freely reserve and use them as needed rather than being fixed seats.

Additionally, the multipurpose space is equipped with movable partition walls called moving walls, enabling flexible layout changes according to the purpose of use such as lectures or meetings.

LG Energy Solution is striving to build an organizational culture where members can work happily in a free atmosphere, befitting a global company. Kim Jong-hyun, CEO of LG Energy Solution, said, "We will create a creative and innovative organizational culture suitable for the world's leading company in the global battery industry and build a dream workplace where everyone wants to work."
