Gokseong-gun Launches Special Quarantine Inspections as Social Distancing Level 2 Extended

Focus on Revised Guidelines Including Cafe Delivery and Takeout Only After 9 PM

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it has launched a focused inspection on compliance with quarantine rules at facilities under Social Distancing Level 2 until the 29th.

Recently, as Social Distancing Level 2 was extended until the 30th, some quarantine guidelines were additionally implemented.

According to the revised Level 2 guidelines, Gokseong-gun proactively conducted its own special quarantine measures to establish a more thorough quarantine posture.

Through this, it is expected to prevent COVID-19 inflow from neighboring cities and counties and improve any deficiencies in compliance with quarantine rules.

The inspection targets will be randomly selected among 36 types of facilities including key and general management facilities during the inspection period. In particular, active inspections will be conducted using additional quarantine guidelines applied to certain facilities such as restaurants, cafes, and lodging facilities.

The key inspection items include whether masks are worn and their condition, and compliance with common quarantine rules.

Additionally, new standards such as prohibiting reservations and accompanied entry of five or more people in multi-use facilities, allowing cafes to operate only delivery and takeout after 9 PM, recommending prohibition of room parties in lodging facilities and posting of notices will be intensively inspected.

The County Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters stated, “Through special inspections, we will raise the awareness of the residents about COVID-19 and do our best to ensure a Lunar New Year holiday free from worries about infection.”
