Online Applications Available from 10 AM on the 25th via 'Online Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Shopping Mall', First-Come, First-Served
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) will continue to promote the eco-friendly agricultural products package support project for pregnant women residing in Gwanak-gu in 2021.
The ‘Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Package Support Project for Pregnant Women’ was a pilot project implemented in 2020 to support the health of pregnant women and newborns and to help farmers struggling due to COVID-19 secure sales channels.
Eligible applicants are mothers who gave birth after January 1, 2020, or pregnant women as of the application date, residing in Gwanak-gu. This year, the district plans to support 1,100 people, and those receiving benefits from the Nutrition Plus program run by the public health center cannot receive duplicate support.
The district will accept applications on a first-come, first-served basis for a total of 1,100 people from 10 a.m. on the 25th until December 31, providing eco-friendly agricultural product packages worth approximately 410,000 KRW, usable until the end of the year. If additional budget is secured, an extra 70,000 KRW worth will be supplied.
Applications can be made online through the Pregnant Women Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Shopping Mall with mobile phone authentication by the pregnant woman herself. Those who have been issued a National Happiness Card can apply online without submitting additional documents, while those without the card must attach pregnancy and childbirth verification documents as files.
If online application is not possible, applicants can visit the Gwanak-gu Office’s Regional Commercial Revitalization Division to apply in person. In this case, applicants must submit the application form, resident registration certificate, and pregnancy and childbirth verification documents.
Selected applicants can purchase from the designated online mall up to four times per month, with each purchase between 30,000 KRW and 100,000 KRW. When ordering, 80% of the amount is supported, and the remaining 20% is paid by the applicant. The products will be delivered to the applicant’s address by the supplier.
For more details, contact the Seoul Dasan Call Center or the Gwanak-gu Office Regional Commercial Revitalization Division.
Mayor Park Junhee stated, “This meaningful project provides stable sales opportunities to farmers struggling due to COVID-19 and offers safe and fresh eco-friendly agricultural products to pregnant women. We ask for the participation of residents,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to promote projects for the healthy lives of our residents.”
