[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 22nd that it will hold a public contest for the 2021 Nonprofit Private Organization Public Interest Activity Support Project from the 25th of this month to the 18th of next month.
This contest was prepared to guarantee the voluntary activities of nonprofit private organizations and support their growth into sound civic groups.
The types of projects for the contest include ▲social integration and protection of socially vulnerable groups ▲citizen communication and cultivation of advanced civic awareness ▲livelihood economy and cultural development ▲creation of jobs and capacity building for women and youth ▲realization of a safe city ▲environmental conservation ▲response to climate change and Green New Deal ▲cooperation for mutual growth in the Honam region and international cooperation, totaling eight categories.
Eligible applicants are nonprofit private organizations registered with Gwangju City by the 31st of last month and maintaining registration requirements as of the application date, and applicants must secure at least 5% of the total project cost as self-funding when applying.
Organizations wishing to apply should prepare the project application form and project plan and submit them by mail or visit to the department in charge of nonprofit private organization registration. From the 16th to the 18th of next month, an in-person submission desk will also be operated at the City Hall Civil Service Office.
Submitted projects will be reviewed by the Public Interest Project Selection Committee and selected in March, with results scheduled to be posted on the Gwangju City website on March 31st.
