CareLabs Acquires 'Medijob Leaders Nursing Academy'... "Launching Nursing Education Chain Business"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] CareLabs, a health and beauty care platform specialist company, has entered the nursing education chain business.

CareLabs announced on the 22nd that MediJob Leaders, a 100% subsidiary newly invested in November last year, recently completed all acquisition procedures for ‘MediJob Leaders Nursing Academy,’ which specializes in training medical professionals such as nursing assistants, and has officially started the academy chain business.

‘MediJob Leaders Nursing Academy’ is a specialized nursing workforce training institution that has produced numerous professional medical personnel over the past 15 years since its opening in Cheonho-won in 2006. The academy was designated as a commissioned education institution by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education in 2010, selected as an excellent training institution by job category by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in Seoul in 2014, and received a 3-year accreditation from the Korea Nursing Education Evaluation Institute in 2018.

CareLabs plans to build a nationwide chain network centered on ‘MediJob Leaders Nursing Academy,’ which currently has branches in Cheonho, Yeongdeungpo, and Taereung, and promote the academy’s industry brand. The company aims to differentiate itself by expanding employment opportunities for medical professionals and supplying customized personnel for each hospital through linkage with the CareLabs MediJob business division, which has been operating a medical professional recruiting platform. They plan to grow competitively by providing a medical professional one-pass (ONE-PASS) system that offers services from professional medical education and training to job placement services.

Park Kyungdeuk, CEO of CareLabs, said, “According to national statistics, the number of patients per nurse in Korea is 16.3, which is twice the average of 8.8 in 12 European countries and the United States. Therefore, the shortage of professional medical personnel in Korea is a social issue raised every year. We will strive to grow the MediJob Leaders Nursing Academy chain business into a specialized brand that contributes to this social issue and ultimately helps improve the reliability and quality of domestic medical services.”
