[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 21st that it will issue an administrative order for 'COVID-19 diagnostic testing' until the 28th for visitors and workers of local entertainment bars, danran bars, and noraebang (excluding coin noraebang) since December 25 of last year.
The establishments confirmed as routes of confirmed cases so far include 10 noraebang locations and 3 entertainment and danran bars. In this regard, Daegu City explained that the mandatory testing administrative order was issued considering that many related persons refuse testing or phone calls.
The city stated, "Mandatory testing under the administrative order guarantees anonymity and there is no personal cost for the diagnostic test," and declared a plan to claim damages for social responsibility regarding confirmed cases occurring after the mandatory testing period.
Earlier, on the 18th, Daegu City issued a gathering ban administrative order until January 31 for 1,762 entertainment and danran bars, and from the 21st for 1,602 noraebang locations excluding coin noraebang.
