The works of the recently deceased "Waterdrop Painter" Kim Chang-yeol drew much popularity. The 1983 work "Waterdrop SH84002" started at 50 million KRW and was sold for 150 million KRW. The 2003 work "Waterdrop SA03014-03" started at 55 million KRW and was sold for 100 million KRW. All four Kim Chang-yeol works exhibited found new owners.
The highest price in the entire auction that day was "Work" by Yoo Young-guk, sold for 730 million KRW. "22-X-73 #325," created by Kim Whanki one year before his death, was scheduled to start at 3 billion KRW but was withdrawn from the auction.
The highest-priced piece in the antique art section was Danwon Kim Hong-do's "Tapsanggojado," sold for 115 million KRW. Sorim Jo Seok-jin's "Chugyeongsansu" was listed at 8 million KRW and, after competition, was sold for 38 million KRW.
