Employees Gossip and Mock During Bathroom Breaks
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] BJ Gamdongran became a hot topic after revealing that she heard sexually harassing remarks at a restaurant in Busan. When some netizens criticized the outfit she was wearing at the time, she personally clarified and expressed her frustration.
On the 20th, BJ Gamdongran uploaded a video titled "Legendary Science Time" on her YouTube channel, disclosing that she had heard sexually harassing remarks. In her response, she refuted allegations of manipulation and criticism of her attire raised by some.
Regarding a comment saying, "Isn't this staged?" she replied, "What restaurant would stage something like this? Would they do it just to make money?"
She also expressed her frustration about opinions criticizing her outfit, saying, "The clothes I wore were a one-piece dress. How does it look like underwear?"
The video showed BJ Gamdongran visiting a restaurant in Busan.
While Gamdongran briefly left her seat to go to the restroom, the restaurant staff began gossiping about her short one-piece dress, and their remarks were fully captured on video. The staff criticized her outfit, saying things like, "Is she wearing pants?" "How can someone wear clothes like that?" "Is she wearing a thong?" "Crazy person" "Her chest is fake" "Not very pretty," and so on.
Viewers conveyed these comments to BJ Gamdongran through the comments, and she watched the video to confirm them herself.
BJ Gamdongran appeared shocked but quickly called the staff over and said, "Why should I hear such things when I spend over 100,000 won on a meal? I have come here often without wearing clothes like this. Why should I be called a crazy person? I came here deliberately during off-hours when the company is closed, so why should I be insulted?"
The staff apologized in an embarrassed manner, saying, "Sorry. We were shocked because we hadn't seen such attire before. We were just talking among ourselves," and repeatedly apologized.
As the video spread, netizens' criticism of the restaurant has been growing louder.
