Suncheon-si Promotes Factory Registration Survey to Foster Excellent Companies

Utilizing Factory Registration Company Status Survey and On-site Difficulty Feedback for Corporate Support

Suncheon-si Promotes Factory Registration Survey to Foster Excellent Companies

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 21st that it will conduct a fact-finding survey targeting companies registered as factories for 11 months from the 25th of this month to December 25th.

This survey is being promoted to organize the factory registration status in accordance with reality, understand the trends of companies, and create a work-friendly and business-friendly environment by preparing various corporate support measures.

The survey targets a total of 673 companies, including 228 companies in industrial and agricultural industrial complexes and 445 companies in individual locations, and will be conducted through written and on-site surveys.

Suncheon City plans to verify general factory registration details such as company name, representative name, and industry type, as well as the operational status of factories such as temporary closure or shutdown, and collect corporate suggestions and difficulties.

Based on the results of this survey, companies whose registration details do not match will be guided to update their registration, and factories used for purposes other than manufacturing, unauthorized closures, or relocations will have their factory registrations canceled through administrative procedures.

In addition, companies suspected of emitting harmful substances will be addressed in consultation with the environmental department.

In particular, for companies located in the Juam Agricultural Industrial Complex among the survey targets, the responsible public officials will visit the factories at least once a month to check their operational status, and if the factory has not operated for one year, the tenancy contract for the agricultural industrial complex will be terminated.

This excludes companies that only enjoy various benefits through factory registration in the agricultural industrial complex and provides opportunities to other companies to strengthen the competitiveness of the agricultural industrial complex and create jobs.

A Suncheon City official said, “We will utilize the results of this fact-finding survey to promote policies such as corporate support and strive to strengthen corporate competitiveness and revitalize the local economy.”
