Biden Administration Inaugurated... Lee Nak-yeon: "We Will Work Together for Korean Peninsula Denuclearization"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lee Nak-yeon, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, congratulated President Joe Biden on the inauguration of his new administration on the 21st, stating, "We will always stand together in the process of achieving denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."

On the morning of the same day, Lee said through his Facebook, "Korea and the United States will continue to move forward together unwaveringly for the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula."

He added, "I highly appreciate President Biden's outstanding leadership in diplomacy and politics so far," emphasizing, "I have no doubt that his diplomatic leadership will greatly contribute to the stability and peace of the Korean Peninsula."

He continued, "The Korean people will always stand with President Biden in the process of achieving denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula based on the historic 'North Korea-U.S. Singapore Agreement,'" and congratulated him on his inauguration.

Regarding the Korea-U.S. alliance, Lee also said, "It will develop even further toward the future," adding, "I hope that with long experience, wisdom, and leadership of unity, the United States will be united and lead the world to peace."
