Call for COVID-19 Healing Creation Videos and Overcoming Ideas Until February 8

Online Maker Contest

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] Daegu City announced on the 20th that it will hold an online Maker Contest to continue the maker culture and discover hidden makers.

This event was organized by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region Maker Spaces in collaboration for all makers who have continued making activities despite restrictions on external activities, including the use of maker spaces, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

The contest accepts submissions in two categories: video works and ideas.

Any Korean citizen with a video work or making idea to overcome COVID-19 can participate.

The winners will be selected by combining evaluations from experts and maker space managers with online voting results, and will be awarded certificates such as the Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation Director’s Award and the National Daegu Science Museum Director’s Award, along with a cash prize and making equipment as rewards.

Applications can be submitted by downloading the participation form from the Daegu Maker Space integrated website.

Applicants up to high school students should apply in the student division, and others in the general division.

Submissions are accepted until February 8, and the awards ceremony is scheduled for February 17. For more detailed information about applications, please refer to the website notice, and inquiries can be made to the Startup Support Center at Kyungpook National University.
