[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] On the 19th, 17 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Gyeongnam.

Except for one case from overseas entry, all are local infections.

By region, there are 5 cases each in Sacheon and Changwon, 3 each in Gimhae and Yangsan, and 1 in Tongyeong.

Meanwhile, the province announced that it has detected 14 violations of the ban on private gatherings of five or more people, which is being enforced to reduce confirmed cases by minimizing personal contact.

Changwon accounted for the most with 12 cases, followed by Jinju with 1 case and Namhae with 1 case.

A fine of 100,000 KRW per person was imposed on them.
