Sancheong-gun Invests 5 Billion KRW Over 2 Years for Projects and Completion in 10 Villages

New Construction of Village Hall and More, Enhancing Resident Welfare and Satisfaction

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that the village development project, implemented as a general rural agricultural and fishery development project over two years, has been completed.

The county promoted the village development project in a total of 10 villages over two years from 2019 to 2020, with a project budget of 500 million KRW per village.

The villages where the village development project was completed have created a pleasant residential environment and communication spaces, which are expected to enhance residents' residential welfare and life satisfaction.

Major projects included the construction of six village halls (Mukhamaeul in Danseong-myeon, Naewonmaeul in Samjang-myeon, Gochimaeul in Saengbiryang-myeon, Dongsinmaeul in Sicheon-myeon, Mundaemaeul in Sinan-myeon, and Bukchonmaeul in Samjang-myeon).

One village landscape maintenance project (Gyodongmaeul in Danseong-myeon) and three village communal living homes (Galjeonmaeul in Saengcho-myeon, Gwanjeongmaeul in Danseong-myeon, and Yajeongmaeul in Sinan-myeon) were also completed.

The construction of six village halls improved outdated village halls into modern facilities, creating a comfortable environment that is warm in winter and cool in summer.

A county official stated, "The village development project was conducted as a customized project for each village under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' public contest project, upgrading the quality of life by improving living facilities and strengthening residents' community capabilities. We will continue to increase satisfaction by incorporating various themes and software projects that meet residents' perspectives in future village development projects."
