Dongdaemun-gu Recruiting 17 Participants for Community Job Project Including Umbrella Repair

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) is recruiting 17 participants for the first half of 2021 local community job project to promote the livelihood and employment stability of residents.

Eligibility includes those aged 18 or older as of January 19, who are capable of working and reside in Dongdaemun-gu, such as vulnerable employment groups, those who have experienced job loss or business closure due to COVID-19, and residents in need of livelihood support due to the local economic downturn.

The recruitment fields include seven projects such as knife sharpening and umbrella repair recycling business, and training and dispatching instructors for visiting multicultural understanding education. Working hours are up to 6 hours per day, 5 days a week, and wages are based on the 2021 minimum wage (8,720 KRW per hour).

Residents wishing to participate in this project can apply by visiting their local community service center in person with an ID card from January 19 to 29.

After the application deadline, the district will conduct screening to select the final participants, notify the results individually on February 24, and the selected participants will work for four months from March 2 to June 30.
