A total of 16 confirmed cases in Gyeongnam... Cumulative confirmed cases reach 1,750 (Comprehensive Report 2)


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] As of 5 p.m. on the 18th, Gyeongnam Province announced that a total of 16 confirmed cases have occurred: 3 in Changwon, 3 in Hamyang, 2 in Jinju, 2 in Sacheon, 2 in Gimhae, 3 in Yangsan, and 1 in Haman.


The 3 confirmed cases in Changwon were contacts of confirmed cases within the province and were classified as numbers 1745, 1746, and 1751.


The 3 confirmed cases in Hamyang are all family members who were confirmed positive after contact with a family member of a confirmed case in Ulsan, classified as numbers 1739 to 1741.


The 2 confirmed cases in Jinju were contacts of confirmed cases within the province and were classified as numbers 1742 and 1749.


The 2 confirmed cases in Sacheon tested positive after voluntarily getting tested due to symptoms and were classified as numbers 1747 and 1748; their infection routes are currently under investigation.


Among the 2 confirmed cases in Gimhae, one tested positive after voluntarily getting tested due to symptoms and was classified as number 1743.


The other was related to a foreign family gathering and was classified as number 1744. This brings the total cumulative confirmed cases related to the foreign family gathering to 24.


In Yangsan, 3 confirmed cases also occurred. One who voluntarily got tested due to symptoms was classified as number 1738.


Additionally, one who had contact with a confirmed case’s family within the province and one related to the foreign family gathering were classified as numbers 1752 and 1753, respectively.


The single confirmed case in Haman was confirmed positive after contact with a confirmed case in Gyeongbuk and was classified as number 1750.


Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province have increased to 1,750 (273 hospitalized, 1,471 discharged, 6 deceased).
