Daegu Bukbu Library's 'Reading Discussion Meeting' Active... Recruiting Student and General Members

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 18th that the Bukbu Library (Director Lee Haeryeong) is recruiting members for reading clubs targeting elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as housewives and the general public.

Bukbu Library operates six reading clubs, including Saessak Reading Club (elementary school students grades 4-6) founded in 1986, Cheongnok Reading Club (middle school students grades 1-3), Ilchul Reading Club (high school students grades 1-2), Sangnok Reading Club (housewives), and Yeji Reading Club (general adults).

Saessak Reading Club applications can be made in person by visiting the library's children's section. Applications for the other reading clubs will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the website starting from the 19th. Members select books reflecting their interests and preferences once a month and freely discuss them.

In particular, the middle school Cheongnok Reading Club regularly invites instructors to conduct lectures on discussion methods and essay guidance. It provides opportunities to engage with various books, including classical literature, to enhance humanities knowledge.
