DL E&C Expands Untact Marketing in the COVID-19 Era Using VR and Drones

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim On-yu] DL E&C (formerly Daelim Industrial) announced on the 15th that it is overcoming the difficulties of face-to-face marketing caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) through untact (non-face-to-face) marketing.

‘e-Pyeonhansesang Bupyeong Granghills,’ which opened a cyber housing exhibition hall on December 31 last year, allows visitors to tour the interior of units through virtual reality (VR). It also produced and released videos filmed by drones that enable visitors to see the location at a glance. Additionally, inside the housing exhibition hall, videos in the form of unit tours with curators and actual buyers were created so that people can view the details thoroughly even without visiting the exhibition hall in person. By providing videos containing only the core information consumers want to know, it received great responses from consumers, and on the 13th, the subscription ended with an average competition rate of 12.6 to 1 for the first priority in all housing types.

As information delivery through the cyber housing exhibition hall received positive evaluations from buyers, DL E&C is actively introducing such untact marketing to new sale complexes this year. ‘e-Pyeonhansesang Gapyeong First One,’ scheduled for sale this month, is simultaneously promoting the complex and delivering information by sequentially posting videos on the page for consumers to check before the housing exhibition hall opens.

So far, two videos can be viewed on the website, and a product introduction video will be updated in line with the opening of the housing exhibition hall.

The first video posted on the website is a vlog-style video solely hosted by a real estate specialist YouTuber, introducing the distance to nearby convenience facilities, surrounding location analysis, development prospects, and the rarity value of the non-regulated area. It introduces housing price trends and road networks using various graphs, and the drone-filmed footage allows viewers to check the convenience facilities around the project site.

The second video is a subscription guide video that introduces the subscription eligibility requirements for the non-regulated Gapyeong area and provides detailed instructions on how to apply for subscriptions on the Korea Real Estate Board’s Subscription Home website through graphics and photos. It is highly praised as useful information for consumers who are applying for apartment subscriptions for the first time or are unfamiliar with the Subscription Home platform.

A DL E&C official said, “We plan to further develop the cyber housing exhibition hall as a smart guide to home ownership by fully leveraging the advantages of untact marketing, which is not restricted by time and place.”
