A Man in His 70s Walking on a Dark National Road Without a Sidewalk Dies After Being Hit by Four Vehicles in Succession


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] A man in his 70s walking on a dark national road without a sidewalk was hit and killed by four vehicles in succession.


According to Gangjin Police Station on the 15th, around 7:10 PM the previous day, a man in his 70s, Mr. A, who was passing by on a national road in Suseong-ri, Gangjin-eup, Gangjin-gun, was hit by a van driven by a man in his 50s.


Subsequently, three vehicles following behind failed to notice the fallen Mr. A and caused successive accidents, ultimately resulting in Mr. A's death.


Among the drivers of these vehicles, a woman in her 20s got out of her car to check Mr. A's condition but was seriously injured after being hit by another car.


The accident occurred on a dark national road without a sidewalk, where the vehicles reportedly failed to see the pedestrian.


The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
