Lotte ON Hosts 'On-Tact Filial Piety for Parents' Event

Lotte ON Hosts 'On-Tact Filial Piety for Parents' Event

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Mart Mall, operated by Lotte On, is holding the event "Honoring Parents On-tact" until the 31st. During the event period, customers who add their parents' delivery address to the basic delivery address and order over a certain amount will receive Hyo-do Money.

This service, which delivers products to multiple delivery addresses, is operated under the name "On-gajok Shopping On" on Lotte Mart Mall, and its usage rate has steadily increased since its debut in August last year.

It is analyzed that the demand has increased for children to send daily necessities to their parents' homes on behalf of parents who have difficulty ordering online. In fact, compared to August when the "On-gajok Shopping On" service was first introduced, sales of bulky items such as rice and bottled water increased by 21.3% and 13.2% respectively in December, and the total sales of customers who used the service increased by 25.8%.

As demand for this service increased, Lotte Mart planned this event in line with the holiday season so that gift sets can also be sent to the desired delivery address. In particular, due to the ongoing social distancing caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), On-tact has become a new consumption trend, making it natural to deliver gifts contactlessly.

To participate in the event, during the event period, if the total order amount for two or more delivery addresses is over 100,000 KRW, customers can click the "Apply for Event" button on the Lotte Mart Mall event page. Only customers who apply for the event will receive 3,000 L.Points on February 19th.

In addition, Lotte Mart Mall is also conducting a pre-order sale event for gift sets. Customers who purchase gift sets worth over 100,000 KRW during the pre-order period (~2/1) will receive 10,000 L.Points, and those who purchase over 200,000 KRW will receive 20,000 L.Points. Considering that it is difficult for general customers to exceed 300,000 KRW in gift set purchases, this is a differentiated benefit prepared for customers purchasing sets at Lotte Mart Mall.

Lee Sang-jin, head of marketing at Lotte Mart, said, "We planned this event considering that many customers are worried about their parents due to COVID-19," and added, "Don't miss the opportunity to shop on behalf of your parents and receive L.Points that can be used immediately as cash."
