Gwangju City to Recruit Workplaces for 'Gwangju Youth Work Experience Dream' Program Until the 25th Gwangju City Hall

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 13th that it is recruiting workplaces (abbreviated as ‘Dreamter’) to work with outstanding local talents by the 25th for the first half of 2021 ‘Gwangju Youth Work Experience Dream Project.’

This project, a representative youth job project promoted by Gwangju City since 2017, provides an opportunity for local small and strong enterprises and various institutions to discover outstanding local talents, and for local youth to experience quality local jobs.

The recruitment target is workplaces with at least one regular employee located in Gwangju City, Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City, and nearby areas. These workplaces can provide youth with various job sites in the local community within five types (public institution type, corporate type, youth start-up company type, social welfare type, social value type).

Workplaces participating in the project will receive 90% support for youth worker wages from March to July, and may directly hire youth who match the vision and aptitude of each workplace.

Workplaces wishing to participate can apply by submitting an application form and attached documents to the operating institution for each type.

Kim Young-seon, Youth Policy Officer, said, “The Gwangju Youth Work Experience Dream Project is a win-win youth job project that provides participating institutions and companies with an opportunity to find outstanding local talents and gives local youth the experience of quality local jobs. We hope that many excellent local institutions and companies experiencing recruitment difficulties due to COVID-19 will participate and work together with local youth to overcome these difficult times.”
