[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Momoland's Nancy has announced legal action in response to damages caused by manipulated photos.


On the 11th, Nancy's agency MLD Entertainment stated, "Recently, illegally manipulated photos related to our artist Nancy have been circulating online and on social media," adding, "Nancy is a victim of voyeuristic and composite photos."


The agency said, "We will take strong legal action against all individuals involved in the illegal filming and initial distribution, as well as those spreading these images, through cooperation with the police and overseas judicial authorities."


They continued, "Through our legal representatives, we also plan to pursue civil and criminal penalties for violations of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, distribution of obscene materials under the Information and Communications Network Act, and infringement of personality rights."


Additionally, the agency expressed that Nancy is currently suffering emotional distress and requested, "We hope that no more malicious posts will harm the artist."

Hello, this is MLD Entertainment.


Recently, illegally manipulated photos related to our artist Nancy have been circulating online and on social media.


Nancy is a victim of voyeuristic and composite photos. The person who should be protected first and foremost is Nancy. We ask for your cooperation with a heavy heart.


We inform you that we will take strong legal action against all individuals involved in illegal filming and initial distribution, as well as those spreading these images, through cooperation with the police and overseas judicial authorities. Through our legal representatives, we also plan to pursue civil and criminal penalties for violations of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, distribution of obscene materials under the Information and Communications Network Act, and infringement of personality rights.


Nancy is currently experiencing great emotional distress. We earnestly ask that no more malicious posts harm the artist.
