Temporary Screening Clinics in Dongjak-gu Operate Shortened Hours from 7th to 9th

Lee Chang-woo, Mayor of Dongjak District, is visiting a temporary screening clinic and encouraging the officials engaged in quarantine activities.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) will shorten the operating hours of the temporary screening clinics, which are being operated for all residents to conduct proactive testing to block the large-scale spread of COVID-19, for three days from the 7th to the 9th.

The district has been operating temporary screening clinics since the 14th of last month, and as of the 5th, a total of 20,257 people have been tested. Two screening clinics, ▲Sadang Culture Center (Sadang-dong) and ▲Dongjak-gu Sports Center (Sindaebang-dong), are being extended for two weeks until the 16th.

This shortened operation is being implemented due to a cold wave warning forecasted throughout Seoul to protect the health of residents and workers. The clinics will operate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and anyone can receive free anonymous testing regardless of contact with confirmed cases or symptoms.

An official from the Dongjak-gu Disaster Safety and Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters said, "We hope residents planning to visit the temporary screening clinics this week will not be confused by the changed operating hours," and added, "We ask all residents to actively participate in the temporary screening clinic tests for the sake of their precious family and neighbors and to repeatedly practice social distancing according to the special quarantine measures."
