Yeoncheon-gun Publishes 'DISCOVER YEONCHEON ON STORY' Yeoncheon Comprehensive Promotional Booklet 'DISCOVER YEONCHEON ON STORY' [Provided by Yeoncheon County]

[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, has embarked on promoting Yeoncheon by creating a comprehensive promotional booklet to celebrate the honor of becoming a UNESCO double crown holder with the certification of Hantangang World Geopark and the designation of this year as the 'Year of Visiting Yeoncheon.'

On the 5th, Yeoncheon-gun announced, "We have published the comprehensive promotional booklet 'DISCOVER YEONCHEON ON STORY.'

'DISCOVER YEONCHEON ON STORY' is characterized as a comprehensive promotional booklet in the form of a magazine, unlike the intermittently produced guidebooks before.

The book contains rich ecological heritage, history, and various tourism information of Yeoncheon, making it rich in reading material and entertainment value. It is divided into history, tourism, ecology, and cultural industry sections, making it easy to read and also serving as a Yeoncheon guide.

The history section, 'YEONCHEON ON THE TIME,' introduces Yeoncheon's history, figures, and places, which have been a significant military strategic point on the Korean Peninsula from the Paleolithic era through the Three Kingdoms period to modern times.

The tourism section, 'YEONCHEON ON YOUR MIND,' introduces seasonal attractions and various tourist sites through natural environments and cultural heritage such as Jaein Waterfall, Horogoru, and columnar joints.

It also includes useful tourism information such as Yeoncheon's nine scenic spots, restaurants, themed travel courses, and retro streets.

The ecology section, 'YEONCHEON ON THE EARTH,' explores the geological value and significance of Yeoncheon, registered as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and World Geopark, known as a 'living geology textbook.' It also tells the story of the natural monument, the crane, which visits Yeoncheon annually.

The cultural industry section, 'YEONCHEON ON THE WAY,' introduces various festivals that color Yeoncheon throughout the four seasons, such as the DMZ International Music Festival and the Paleolithic Festival.

It highlights Yeoncheon as a 'museum city' with historical sites everywhere, enhancing Yeoncheon's brand value and weaving stories of artisans who illuminate Yeoncheon.

Additionally, special features such as 'Jeju VS Yeoncheon Big Match,' comparing the natural landscapes of Jeju Island and Yeoncheon including Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, Jaein Waterfall, Suwolbong, and Eundaeri Panseong Columnar Joints, as well as a DMZ guide containing information about the Demilitarized Zone, stand out.

A Yeoncheon-gun official stated, "We produced this magazine for not only Yeoncheon residents but also those unfamiliar with Yeoncheon to read and want to keep," explaining the planning intent.

The county plans to firmly establish the Yeoncheon brand through the new format of the comprehensive promotional booklet, actively enhancing the image and promotion of Yeoncheon, and embarking on city branding in earnest.
