"Wife in inappropriate relationship with company colleague"… Russian man in his 30s leaves exposing text and makes extreme choice with children

[Asia Economy Reporter Hana Na] A man in his 30s who discovered his wife's infidelity took his own life along with his children in a car, The Sun reported on the 30th of last month (local time).

According to the report, on the 29th of last month, Russian police received a report from a woman that her children were missing.

The reporter, a woman named Gallya (31), stated that her husband had disappeared after leaving on a trip with their two children.

Police who responded to the report searched the riverside area of the city for about two hours and found a vehicle. Inside the vehicle, a man and two children were found dead from carbon monoxide poisoning. No other injuries were found.

They were identified as Gallya's husband Fazil Harikov (37), their 6-year-old son Aska, and their 18-month-old daughter Ayana.

It was confirmed that they had left home that day, saying they were going on a trip. Afterwards, Harikov called his wife Gallya and said he would take his own life along with the children, then contact was lost.

While investigating the incident, police found Harikov's mobile phone in the vehicle and checked the messages. They contained content in which Harikov exposed his wife's infidelity to an acquaintance. There were also implicit messages indicating his intention to make an extreme choice with the children.

According to the text messages, Harikov told an acquaintance, "My wife told me she has another man she loves. She had an inappropriate relationship with a colleague she met at a party. Goodbye. I will leave with the children."

Investigations revealed that Gallya recently confessed to Harikov about her affair, saying, "I have been continuing an inappropriate relationship with a colleague I met at a company party," and demanded a divorce.

Currently, Gallya is undergoing psychiatric evaluation due to the shock of losing her husband and two children.

A police official stated, "(Harikov) had a quarrel fueled by anger and jealousy over Gallya's infidelity," adding, "Afterwards, Harikov disguised it as a trip, killed the two children, and took his own life."
