[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LG has installed outdoor advertisements on the high-rise building 'Oxford Tower' located in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, which serves as an advanced base for home appliances and batteries, and has started promoting the LG brand from the new year.
On the 3rd, LG announced that it began outdoor advertising to enhance the LG brand image as Poland plays an important role as a global production base.
The outdoor advertisement located at the top of the 42-story building measures 26.4m in width and 4m in height, featuring the LG logo along with the phrase "Future is here."
LG currently operates an LG Electronics OLED TV production plant in Mława, Poland, and an LG Energy Solution battery production plant in Wrocław, positioning Poland as a hub for the European market.
An LG official stated, "The area around Warsaw Central Station, where the advertisement is installed, is a transportation hub with an average daily foot traffic of about 1 million people, so we expect to effectively promote the LG brand to many passersby."
Following Warsaw, LG plans to operate outdoor advertisements in Wrocław, where LG Energy Solution's electric vehicle battery production plant is located.
LG is also conducting global marketing to promote the LG brand by operating outdoor advertisements in landmark areas of major cities worldwide, such as Piccadilly Circus in London, UK, and Suntec City, the largest integrated shopping mall in Singapore.
