Dongmyeong University Department of Counseling Psychology, Youth Counselor Pass Rate Exceeds 90%

92.85% Pass Rate for Current Students in Level 2 Exam
Significantly Higher Than Nationwide 78.54% Pass Rate

Dongmyeong University Department of Counseling Psychology, Youth Counselor Pass Rate Exceeds 90% Professor Park Su-young of Dongmyung University is conducting an industry-academia cluster lecture related to youth counseling.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Among the 14 fourth-year students of the Department of Counseling Psychology (Department Head Choi Sung-jin) at Dongmyung University (President Jeong Hong-seop) who recently took the 28th Youth Instructor Level 2 Interview Exam (administered by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea), 13 passed on December 23. The pass rate was 92.85%.


Including both current students and graduates of the university's Department of Counseling Psychology, 15 out of a total of 16 examinees (14 current students and 2 graduates) passed, showing a pass rate of 93.75%.


Park Soo-young, Director of the Community Cooperation Center at Dongmyung University (invited professor of the Department of Counseling Psychology), opened an industry-academia cluster lecture under the LINC+ (Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation) project.


For a total of 19 participants, including 17 enrolled students and 2 graduates, a total of 20 hours of special lectures were conducted over 5 sessions in 5 weeks until December 4, covering ▲Youth-related laws ▲Youth policies ▲Understanding youth projects ▲Youth research theories, which reportedly had great effectiveness.


Among the 3,993 examinees nationwide who took this exam, 3,136 passed, recording a pass rate of 78.54%.


Previously, in the 2019 Youth Instructor Level 2 Exam, 33 fourth-year students from the Department of Counseling Psychology at Dongmyung University took the exam, with 27 passing, achieving a pass rate of 82%.


The department also operates extracurricular education programs such as Level 2 Professional Counselor, Level 3 Youth Counselor, and Art Psychotherapy Therapist to support the acquisition of major-related certifications.
