[Asia Economy Reporter Wondara] It has been revealed that Busan citizens consider Professor Park Hyung-jun of Dong-A University from the People Power Party and Secretary-General Kim Young-choon of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party as the most suitable candidates for the next mayor of Busan.

According to a public opinion survey conducted by Asia Economy through Win-G Korea Consulting from the 12th to 13th targeting 1,020 voters aged 18 and over residing in Busan Metropolitan City (100% mobile phone virtual numbers, automated response), 22.4% of Busan citizens thought Professor Park was the most suitable candidate from the People Power Party. Following him were former lawmaker Lee Eon-ju (15.7%), lawmaker Seo Byung-soo (12.2%), former lawmaker Park Min-sik (5.9%), and former lawmaker Lee Jin-bok (5.4%) in that order.

Among the Democratic Party candidates, Secretary-General Kim received the highest response at 18.7%, followed by former lawmaker Kim Hae-young (10%), Democratic Party international spokesperson Choi Ji-eun (5.5%), acting mayor of Busan Byun Sung-wan (4.4%), and former Busan City Council Chairperson Park In-young (2.4%).
