Lee Kyung-kyu Preparing Countermeasures
Yoo Se-yoon, Jang Dong-min, Jang Do-yeon Join New Company
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Comedians Lee Kyung-kyu, Yoo Se-yoon, Jang Dong-min, and Jang Do-yeon have suffered unpaid appearance fees worth hundreds of millions of won.
According to the broadcasting industry on the 11th, comedians affiliated with KENM have recently not received their appearance fees. Lee Kyung-kyu has left the company and is preparing separate countermeasures. Yoo Se-yoon, Jang Dong-min, and Jang Do-yeon have moved to a new agency called 'LD Story' and are contemplating their next steps.
They believe that the entertainment production company Koen Media, the parent company of their former management agency Koen Stars, has been using the appearance fees owed to the comedians as production costs, engaging in reckless management, which has prolonged the unpaid fee situation.
In response, the comedians established a company called KENM to block the fees from going to Koen, but since the fundamental problem was not resolved, they are reportedly preparing countermeasures such as sending certified letters through the new company.
