[Asia Economy Reporter Nahana] A secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy stated that he deleted documents related to the early shutdown of Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 because "I thought I had received a shinnaerim (spiritual possession)." Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon speculated, "Since the secretary who received the shinnaerim has been arrested, now we can reveal the identity of the 'spirit' that possessed him," adding, "It must be someone who is or was at the Blue House."

On the night of the 4th, former professor Jin posted on Facebook, "The investigation into the nuclear power plant corruption case will gain momentum," and criticized, "If the nuclear power plant can operate for 1 or 2 more years, they could have just waited and then shut it down. What is all this chaos over a single word from the president? I can't understand the people of this administration."

He also said, "Is this a North Korean society moving according to the Supreme Leader's teachings?"

He continued, "As long as there remains a structure where subordinates cannot dare to refuse unjust orders from their superiors, that society cannot be called a democracy," and pointed out, "Those who give the orders enjoy glory, while the subordinates pay the price with their lives."

Finally, former professor Jin said, "Anyway, since the secretary who received the shinnaerim has been arrested, now we can reveal the identity of the 'spirit' that possessed him," identifying the Blue House as the 'upper echelon.' He interpreted, "Even if they do such things, there must be someone backing them up, so the secretary probably endured by saying absurd things like he was possessed by a spirit." He also predicted that since the secretary has been arrested, he will speak about the upper echelon.

Earlier, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy secretary directly deleted 444 nuclear power plant documents before the Board of Audit and Inspection's audit. When the Board of Audit and Inspection and prosecutors questioned him, "How did you know about the audit and delete the documents?" he reportedly stated, "There is no upper echelon. I also thought I had received a shinnaerim."
