Gwangju City to Operate and Sell 'Gwangju Kimchi Shopping Mall' Starting from the 7th Gwangju City Hall


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 4th that it will operate the Gwangju Kimchi shopping mall from the 7th, where 'Gwangju Kimchi' can be easily purchased online from anywhere in the country.


The shopping mall features nine Gwangju kimchi manufacturers, including 'Ttrechan' and 'Kimchi Town Co., Ltd.', which have received traditional food quality certification from the Korea Food Research Institute, offering a variety of kimchi products so consumers can compare and choose various products in one place.


The kimchi for sale includes a total of 15 types: two general types such as whole cabbage kimchi and aged kimchi, and 13 delicacies including white kimchi, perilla leaf kimchi, and green onion kimchi.


Additionally, the shopping mall operates ▲a dedicated section introducing the brand stories and product features of Gwangju kimchi companies ▲purchase corners for whole cabbage kimchi, aged kimchi, and delicacy kimchi where various Gwangju kimchis can be compared and bought in one place ▲popular top kimchi showcasing the best products by each company ▲and budget kimchi where delicious Gwangju kimchi can be purchased at discounted prices.


The Gwangju Kimchi shopping mall can be accessed by searching 'Gwangju Kimchi' on major search portals or by entering the shopping mall address in the online address bar. Purchases will be available from the 7th.


Park Nam-eon, Director of the City’s Job and Economy Office, said, “With the opening of the Gwangju Kimchi online shopping mall, anyone nationwide can compare and purchase various Gwangju kimchis in one shopping mall. We will actively support the online sales and promotion of Gwangju kimchi so that its taste and quality can be enjoyed on more tables across the country.”
