Dongui University Busan IT Convergence Component Research Institute Hosts SW Product Testing Competition

Enhancing 'SW Testing' Skills at University Crowd Testing Competition

Students who participated in the Dong-Eui University Crowd Testing Competition and won awards.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) Busan IT Convergence Parts Research Institute (Director Jeong Seok-chan) held the "3rd Crowd Testing Competition" on November 27 at the seminar room of the Busan IT Convergence Parts Research Institute.

Sponsored by the Southeast Region SW Quality Competency Center and Dong-Eui University LINC+ Project Group, this competition was conducted as part of the LINC+ Project's "2020 Smart IT Manufacturing Technology Specialized Field Competency Enhancement Program."

Twenty-seven teams (54 students) composed of Dong-Eui University students participated and conducted testing on software products developed by companies. The students enhanced their software quality testing skills by identifying defects and areas for improvement in the software products.

Seven teams were selected as winners, with the grand prize awarded to the "MC SOFT" team (Computer Software Engineering majors Byeon Min-jeong and Yang Chang-yoon).

The excellence award went to the "IPAD!!!" team (Applied Software Engineering majors Kim Ji-woo and Seong Eun-san), and the merit awards were given to the "Daesang" team (Computer Software Engineering majors Kang Ho-dong and Kim Young-hwa) and the "Douner Eoseoogo" team (Creative Software Engineering Department Park Soo-bin and Applied Software Engineering major Hwang Jin-joo).

Jeong Seok-chan, director of the Busan IT Convergence Parts Research Institute, said, "The core technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution are IT and software. Software testing is a key factor in enhancing product competitiveness, and the Crowd Testing Competition is an important event to raise awareness about software testing."
